The Practice Incentives Program Indigenous Health Incentive (PIP IHI) is an integral part of the Commonwealth's commitment to 'closing the gap' and tackling chronic disease.
Irrespective of whether a Practice has 1 identified or 100 identified Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander patients, the incentive has benefits attached to both patient and Practice.
A key objective of the PIP IHI is increase Indigenous patients' access to mainstream primary healthcare services and community feedback indicates that is certainly has the capacity to assist their engagement with GPs.
