PGPN is governed by a Board. The majority of the Board consists of local general practitioners. Provision for non-GP Board members was made in 2007 with the passing of an amendment to the articles of association.

Chairman - Dr Damian Flanagan is a partner in a large medical practice on the Southern Peninsula. He joined the board to represent the local GPs, the community of the Southern Peninsula and that of Rosebud Hospital. He was previously Vice Chairman. Damian has had extensive experience in developing medical education resources and liaising with pharmaceutical companies. |

Vice Chairman - Peter Brookhouse is the first non GP Board Member co-opted to the PGPN Board. He has previously been a past President and Chairman of Frankston Hospital. Peter has recently stepped down as the CEO of a Peninsula based community service (disability) organisation and currently provides consultancy services to this organisation. He was the inaugural Chairperson of the Institute of Disability Service management (Vic), Peter was also Chairperson of the Peninsula Health Human Research Ethics and Clinical Ethics Committees. |
Treasurer - Jen Johanson joined the Board in April 2009 She has extensive experience in the areas of IT, business auditing, and risk assessment, primarily in the banking and telecommunications industries. Jen has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Melbourne, and is a Chartered Accountant, a Certified Practising Accountant, and a Certified Information Systems Auditor, as well as being an active member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, and the Institute of Internal Auditors. She is also a voluntary Director and Company Secretary for the Warrandyte Community Bank.
Director - Dr Joanne Newton has worked as a GP on the Peninsula for 16 years and is also a member of the PGPN CPD committee and the GP Liaison at Peninsula Health. Joanne is also involved with teaching students at Frankston Hospital.
Director - Dr Peter Crow is a GP from a group practice in Somerville. He has a passion for medical education and has experience in working in general practices in England where health outcomes were essential.
