Practice Nurses

Practice Nurse Network

The practice nurse network has been established to provide new and established practice nurses an educational forum in which they can network with other nurses. Practice nursing can be fairly isolated and the forums provide an ideal opportunities to share ideas and experiences.

Recruitment and Orientation

Bi-annually information sessions are run for nurses interested in working in general practice and explain more about the roles and responsibilities of a practice nurse as well as the role PGPN.  If you are new nurse who has been recently employed by a practice, and you are interested in receiving support from the division please let us know.

Any nurses interested in working in general practice are invited to add their name to our distribution list to hear about updates, upcoming education events and newly listed job vacancies. Contact Naomi at n.winter@pgpn.org.au

 Professional Development and Education

In addition to our nurse network meetings we encourage nurses to attend a number of other events that are run throughout the year.

Peninsula General Practice Network is a member of the Southern Metropolitan Region Divisions of General Practice Nursing Group. Together we are able to run larger events with quality speakers.

Do you have stories from the frontline? We are actively seeking to hear from nurses who feel they have achieved something interesting and worthwhile in their workplace and would like to tell their story.
Please contact Naomi Winter at
