PGPN is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing to coordinate delivery of services under the Better Outcomes in Mental Health Care Initiative through the Access to Allied Psychological Services Project (ATAPS). ATAPS provides specific evidence based psychological interventions for patients of GPs who are identified as having a mental disorder (as defined under the ICD-0 PHC Version).

ATAPS - Standard is available under the following criteria –

Available to students, young persons (to 24 years of age), apprentices and Health Care Card holders,
All services are offered at no cost to the patient,
GPs must complete and fax to PGPN Mental Health Program on 9708 8157 a Mental Health Treatment Plan and a ATAPS Referral Form. These forms are located on our resources page in both a PDF and RTF Formats.
PGPN will contact an appropriate provider; the provider will contact the patient,
Services are provided by Allied Health Providers specifically contracted to the ATAPS program under the ATAPS Guidelines.

ATAPS Referral Update- Peninsula GP Network will require ATAPS referrals to include a Mental Health Treatment Plan and a ATAPS Referral Form. The referral form will allow us to maintain more accurate records for reporting and ensure referrals are handled promptly.
